Bow or gun hunting, fly or spin fishing are the outdoor
sports that allow you to spend your holiday time with your wife, your son/daughter, your friends or all alone in wonderful natural sceneries.

But what about if you have to get up in the middle of the night, to drive hours, to mount your tree-stand in the dark, to get cold food and warm drinks and you discover at sunrise that there is a lot of hunters and dogs troubling around or that there is no game? Not one of these
inconveniences will ruin your day if you choose to hunt or to fish at Rosee Plantation in the hunting heartland of Georgia.

Rosee Plantation has an acreage of over 1 sq. mile and is lying on one side of an open valley which has at the bottom the Big Sandy Creek, its swamp and a thick hardwood and pine wood that gradually becomes thinner while rising gently to the open field.

Here live many deer, boars and turkeys that in the late afternoon leave their hiding places in the swamp and woods, come to feed in the fields and go back in the morning traveling under the tree-stand cleverly positioned on their trails. Many quails, pheasants and chukar, both wild and released, populate the edges of the woods and the open fields, while doves and wild ducks, at their season, fly over the freshly cut fields and the large lakes.

Rosee Plantation really is a natural, but managed, wildlife paradise. In spite of the large acreage and of the richness of game there are never more than 10 guests admitted per day so that every one is granted of an uncrowded place both in hunting, in fishing, and in lodging.

The luxurious lodge at lake side in the pinewood, has 2 rooms with queen size beds and private full baths, and 4 rooms with queen size beds, sharing 2 full baths. There are large, richly furnished, living room and dinning room, open and closed porches, game room, swimming pool and sun room.

There are also a 10 stations Sporting Clay Course and a 30 3D targets Archery Course where you may sharpen your eyes or have contests.

You will arrive in the afternoon of the previous day, greeted by the owners who are not just businessmen but, first, are hunters and anglers. You may have a tour on the land watching the tracks of the game, the tree-stands, the blinds, the fields and the lakes. At night, after a good family dinner, you may spend some time in talks or social games while the wandering shadows projected by the fireplace flame give a second life to the trophies on the walls. When the shadows finally rest and the ruby eyes of the fireplace vanish, your comfortable room is ready to let you enjoy the dreams of the coming day.

In the morning, after a rich American breakfast, your guide will drive you in few minutes to your tree-stand or your blind, or to the lakes or will escort you in the fields leading well trained pointing dogs and retrievers.

The morning dew wets your boots, the smell of the leather and gun oil mixes with the scent of pine and the excitement begins with rushes of adrenaline in your veins at the grunt of the bucks, at the popping of the boar tusks, at the sudden sight of a silent turkey, at the roaring flush of the birds, at the high jump of the trouts.

The lunch at the lodge at noon, the pick up of your game, the picture with your trophies will just be small intervals in your day long adventure.

In the late afternoon you may leave Rosee Plantation with your game duly dressed, packaged and frozen, but above all with the memory of a day that in your heart you wish would never had ended.
